North Maluku Province is an Indonesian region, located in the Maluku islands (Moluccan islands), including the islands of Halmahera, Cibi, Taliabu, Bacan, Morotai, Ternate and Tidore. North Maluku provincial capital is the city of Sofifi.

Its area is 140,255.32 square km. Most of the inhabitants are Module, Capping, Ternate, West Makian, Kao, Tidore, Buli, Patani, Maba, Sawai, Weda, Gne, East Makian, Kayoa, Bacan, Sula, Ange, Siboyo, Kadai, Galela, Tobelo, Loloda, Tobaru, Sahu, Arabs and Europeans.
